Here at Positive Horizons, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive intervention services for families in the Greater San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles area.  We specialize in working with the exceptional child/adolescent/adult.  Our specialties include the Autism Spectrum, behavioral or communicational difficulties, and/or developmental or physical disabilities.

We aim to increase your childs' personal perception of their own abilities.  By building their self-confidence, we are also helping to build/rebuild the belief in their own ability to achieve goals in other areas of life.

Our primary services are Music Therapy, Surf Instruction, and Behavioral Intervention.  We also offer a host of specialty services, such as Behavioral Shadowing, Social/Vocational Skills, Music Instruction and Recreational Life Skills Activities, to cater to the unique needs of our clients. 

With learning appropriate social skills, a new instrument or a new physical activity (such as surfing), your child not only learns new skills, but also begins to take those crucial steps to building his/her own self-confidence and self-esteem.  This in turn will help your child to feel that he/she can achieve other goals, be it social, academic, or recreational.  Ultimately, these skills of self-efficacy can be useful throughout your childs/adolescents life.
